Mr Akram Miknas appointed as an honorary
ambassador of Brisbane in the Middle East
Manama, Bahrain February 1, 2007: The Lord Mayo of Brisbane, Councillor Campbell
Newman, appointed Mr Akram Miknas, Chairman of Promoseven Holdings, as an
honorary ambassador for Brisbane in the Middle East in recognition of his
leading role as a trade mediator between the two friendly countries.
This was announced at the press conference held in Bahrain where Mr campbell
Newman invited Bahrain & Middle East business community to take advantage of the
investment opportunities in Brisbane's industry sectors including tourism and
mining sectors. The Lord Mayor of Brisbane also welcomed the incorporation of
islamic banking services to thousands of Muslims in various states of the
country.
